As a nation, so much have we endured Yet we are always resilient and reassured Wars, tsunami’s pandemics and more We stood through it all with hope at our core Now as nature descends with unforgiving force And its fury takes its ruthless course We rise once again in shared solidarity Our hearts teeming with unrelenting clarity No matter the differences in our beliefs We’re there for each other, providing relief It shows how truly selfless we can all be It’s truly inspiring for all who see Through trials and tribulations, we are united  In hope unyielding, we are never divided Our spirits shine though our darkest hours And we will see humanity’s true healing power We will rebuild and we will not falter Our shared path forward we will not alter Because no matter the punishment or crisis  We are Sri Lanka, a nation that rises 

It's amazing how life actually works and how people you trust, become jerks life's not meant to be easy, that's for sure and people's cruelty sure as hell has no cure It's sad fact of life that people come and go we fulfill a purpose till we aren't needed anymore loss is the hardest thing to deal with in our hearts however they leave us, we're always torn apart The pain that some ignore is all too real and it takes a long time for some souls to heal people see it as weak and just ignore the yelp not realising at all that it's all a cry for help Unfortunately that's just how people are all they do is pretend that they care they use, abuse, manipulate and ditch and they're the ones that always end up rich And yet, we still go to enormous lengths to help with every ounce of our strength even then they all walk away like we're rotten and all the good we've done, is simply forgotten 

It's almost an art form, bottling it all up Not saying a word and letting your blood boil Showing a smile to the world, staying strong Yet crying and letting go behind closed doors, Though it doesn't really work for everyone, Cos some hearts can only take so much Until they boil over and the rage kicks in And you lose control of your emotions Sometimes losing control is perceived as weak It ostracizes people and overshadows everything Any and all good deeds go down the drain pipe And you're left to tangle with your troubles alone But is it really weak to accept your pain? And want company during hard times? Is it really fair to ostracize the already lonely? When all they ever wanted was a friend? You feel your nightmares become real All your dreams dissappear before you And your past will haunt you everyday No choice, you just have to live through it Your heart, beating broken beats and so hollow That empty, lonely feeling of remorse inside The d...

Is this the world we live in? Where sharing a song is a sin? I guess that’s just how it is Everything is either a hit or a miss Showing emotion is now perceived As weakness that’s not well received We all have pain that needs to heal When did become wrong to feel? We’re still human beings aren’t we? How many of us a truly stress free? Everyone has their own ways to cope To each their own, if it gives them hope I hope someday humanity returns to our hearts                      And we can show compassion right from the start If you don’t know what someone is going through? It’s not your place to pass judgment on what they do

How do you not see that we're all the same? Same flesh, same blood, we differ only by name Don't we understand what human is anymore? We think we're smart, but we've nothing to show Yes, it'd true we all believe in different things Hate is pointless, what justice does it bring? We have different gods, lifestyles and rules Yet some choose to listen to the rambling of fools What is the point of a nation with free education? If we don't teach people to avoid hateful situations? If we were taught the basics of right and wrong Maybe we'd stop hearing the same hate song All this propaganda about blood these days So much injustice and the people look away All these extreme and racist behavior Is not now nor has ever been the work of a savior We've already seen and felt the toils of a war And it was the single worst thing that we ever saw Why try so hard to go backwards in time And lower ourselves to a level even less than grime Whether...
