The Ugly Truth
Take a good look at the world today,
At this once beautifully mysterious place
Does everyone have to continue living in fear?
Is this truly what any 'God' in any religion wanted for the world?
We live in a world full of hate, pain and evil
Honestly, how can people be so ignorant?
Intolerance is a horrible thing,
Why can't the people get along and live together?
How can we as humans spread so much hate?
Why are we afraid of people who are different?
There are people suffering and dying for nothing all over the world
The rich live and the poor struggle to survive
The extremists kill and terrorize in the name of 'God',
The innocent who pray and worship the same 'God' suffer and die
How ignorant can people be? just because others are different
And because others have different beliefs and choose the way they live
Innocent lives lost, and nobody does anything about it,
That's the sad truth, all these questions go unanswered
Doesn't anyone our so called leaders realise the ignorance of what they're doing?
Innocent blood spilled, lives sacrificed for profit by Politicians
The people who oppose the politicians are often silenced by money or death
Politicians are stains on the underwear of humanity, the preach change and betterment
But it's all lies, brilliantly crafted and amazingly deceitful lies
Why do people hate other people because of race, religion or colour?
Why do we beat, rape, abuse and molest our women and children?
Why must we deface and destroy this beautiful world, that still has so many hidden secrets
Simply put, White, Black, Brown, Hispanic, Asian, Catholic, Christian, Hindu, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, even followers of Scientologists, We're all the same, WE'RE ALL HUMAN!
Whatever we believe in, however we choose to live,
We all live under the same sky, under the same sun and moon,
Under the same stars, and we will all be buried in the same earth,
Above all else, the one defining factor that no level of ignorance can defeat
Is simply that we are all HUMAN in the end,
And we're only hurting ourselves.
This world, our world, for it is in absolute chaos
Am I naive in thinking this world can change for the better?
I suppose one without power and can only hope and pray,
That this world might actually see a better day.
