A Christmas Wish

Tis' the season again, time has flown by
another year gone, let the fireworks fly
decorations, gifts and blissful holiday cheer
with family and friends from far and near

December is a month of happy celebrations
a month to forget about life's many frustrations
a time to reflect on the year that we've had
and to accept it whether it was good or bad

There's Christmas offers and shopping galore
decorations on houses, streets and stores
last minute presents both the hits and misses
standing under mistletoe and stealing kisses

But there are people that don't get to celebrate
without family, gifts, food or even a plate
and as we enjoy Christmas we often forget
to give something back and not feel regret

It's a season for everyone to unite in harmony
to ignore caste & creed and embrace humanity
it's a time for peace to prevail over all conflict
for laying down arms and the pain it inflicts

Christmas should be celebrated by everyone
in the name of peace and hope to all bar none
so from this Christmas onward, let's all unite
and let our differences dwindle in loves bright light

I’ve always tried to be a good person, To be helpful, caring and kind, To be genuine with no real reason But apparently I’m arrogant and blind Is it wrong to believe there is good in our hearts? Tears

Why do we only cry behind closed doors? Has nobody ever cried in public before? We’re human beings after all, that’s a fact So why can’t we behave with a little tact? Tears are a human’s purest sign of emotion It is not a sign of weakness or a demotion For even the upmost joy can bring one to tears And so can the realization, of our biggest fears Have you ever cried at a movie at all?
