One Blood

How do you not see that we're all the same?
Same flesh, same blood, we differ only by name
Don't we understand what human is anymore?
We think we're smart, but we've nothing to show

Yes, it'd true we all believe in different things
Hate is pointless, what justice does it bring?
We have different gods, lifestyles and rules
Yet some choose to listen to the rambling of fools

What is the point of a nation with free education?
If we don't teach people to avoid hateful situations?
If we were taught the basics of right and wrong
Maybe we'd stop hearing the same hate song

All this propaganda about blood these days
So much injustice and the people look away
All these extreme and racist behavior
Is not now nor has ever been the work of a savior

We've already seen and felt the toils of a war
And it was the single worst thing that we ever saw
Why try so hard to go backwards in time
And lower ourselves to a level even less than grime

Whether Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Christian or Jew
We're all the same, just of a different brew
Whether we're Black, White, Latino, Arab or Asian
We're all human, just born in different nations

So let's not destroy this world with unjust hate
Let's not let war be this world's ill-gotten fate
Gone are the days of digging  trenches in mud
Let's all try and remember, we're all of one blood
