Acceptance

This world is full of narrow minded individuals,
we humans judge each other so much its almost ritual
acceptance in abundance that the world needs
hate only grows from many misguided seeds

So what if someone believes in something?
there should be no room for all this grumbling
its not anyone's place to disagree with that
to each their own, that's a saddest of all facts

Everyone has a right to choose their own dues
why does it matter if someone looks different than you?
or even if he or she follows another religion?
so what if man loves a man or a woman loves a woman

There's so many people who talk about saving the earth
hate is taught to people, it's not something we inherit at birth
save the trees, the animals, but it's all talk with no action
lets begin with the people, maybe that'll start that needed chain reaction

All this war, the senseless killing and suffering around us
all because some idiot somewhere decided to make a fuss
MJ said in song 'lets make the world a better place'
so what if people have different colours on their face

Accept that people are innately different from each other
and maybe not everyone can be a sister or a brother
but imagine if we can cross that unforgiving boundary
and let people be themselves without judgement or animosity

Would the world not be a better place if we all worked as one?
this selfish second nature will never make a difference to anyone
accepting each other for who we are, it's only the first step of many
finding a compromise to coexist should lead to some kind of harmony

At the end of the day, we're all human, regardless of any case
it's hard truth to accept, but its a fact, human is the one true race
so lets let bygones be bygones and restart with a little repentance,
cos the only way forward for the world, is simple acceptance
