Have you ever liked that one particular person?
The one that everyone says is wrong for you,
But despite it all in your heart, they're perfect,
That one person, that you wanna talk to all the time,
About pretty much everything, cos they're out of the box
And because they can relate, you instantly feel that connection?
The one you didn't expect to ever reply to your simple 'hello'?
The one that unexpectedly stole your heart, ?
With that captivating smile or that cheeky smirk,

They become the first and last person you think about everyday,
A glance at a night club or a picture on social media,
And your heart and mind are in a tail spin,
And when its time to actually speak to them,
Your tongue gets tied in a knot and the words don't come out right,
Even the message tone on your phone gets you excited,
The one that makes you feel like anything is possible,
Like you can endure anything,
And the one you would do anything for,

But when they suddenly don't respond and disappear,
It's like the world gets dark and cloudy,
And becomes a really lonely place,
and you become paranoid, wondering what you did wrong?
You keep thinking 'what happened?' & 'did I say or do something offensive?'
At the same time, you think, 'I was a fool to think I could have a person like that'
And you just boil it down to a simple little crush
At the end of the day, nobody has control of who the fall for,
The heart desires what the heart desires, there's just no argument

Presumably, that's why its known as a crush
Because only fate and consequence can decide
The magic lies in the fact that you have no control over anything
And let's face it, at the end of the day,
