Soul Mate

Imagine if there’s that one person in life
One you couldn’t go a day without speaking to
A person who is always there in times of strife
Someone who virtually completes you

They’re the friend you always confide in
Someone who knows your ins & outs on every level
A person that knows before you start speaking
One that you click with on a very different level

They can relate to anything you’ve experienced                                                  
Even if you’re polar opposites in every aspect
You make time for them even in an inconvenience
A true best friend with every respect

There’s no level to how much you care for them
And at the same time you know they’ll always be there
Someone whose heart shines like a very rare gem
They won’t hesitate to tell you off, purely cos they care

Everyone needs that one true friend
Keeping you centered through the worst that you see
Someone who will be with you until the bitter end

And that’s what a true soul mate should actually be

I’ve always tried to be a good person, To be helpful, caring and kind, To be genuine with no real reason But apparently I’m arrogant and blind Is it wrong to believe there is good in our hearts? Tears

Why do we only cry behind closed doors? Has nobody ever cried in public before? We’re human beings after all, that’s a fact So why can’t we behave with a little tact?
